Welcome to Behavior Driven Development

Until recently, webbings all our projects were built based on the Test Driven Development (TDD) technique.The process can be described by several phases:

• receipt of specifications from the client
• construction of tests and writing code to their satisfaction
• revision and rewriting of specifications, test, code
• acceptance of the project

Drafting of the basic functionality, and then iteratively pulling features from the backlog, writing tests, code, and again looked into the backlog. Everything works, but a small is missing - tight cohesion of the tests and the specifications. At every meeting with the customer we once again pass on the specifications and sign fat check on the already implemented functionality. This ligament at the implementation stage ensures Behavior Driven Development (BDD). This technique is very well suited to what we normally do manually - documenting exactly what we are going to implement and then checking it off a list. The BDD market of .NET has three alternative libraries for implementation and use of this ideology of programming:

• SpecFlow
• Fitnesse
• Concordion.NET

After small tests and investigations, it was decided to implement the next project using SpecFlow. If the project will meet expectations, then in the near future we should expect changes in the system of project monitoring.

Birth of a new open source video management system

We would like to announce that we are starting an open source software project, called MMStudio. The main objective of the project is to develop an innovative platform to provide a complete set of tools for content and video management, to maximize control over the multimedia and receiving of detailed analytic data for successful marketing.
